About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Revista Estudos de Política is a half-yearly politics journal based in the Social Science Academic Unit of the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG).

The journal accepts unpublished contributions in the field of Political Science and related sub-fields as well as articles from similar areas, as long as the main research object is related to Political Science. Relevant book reviews are also welcome.

The submitted material will be peer-reviewed and must be submitted in any of the following languages: Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Peer Review Process

Manuscripts submitted to the Revista Estudos de Política will be peer reviewed by two referees taking into account the relevance of the subject and the work’s methodological rigor, as well as the journal’s scope and focus.

Reviewing proposals can result in the following decisions: a) accepted; b) accepted after revisions; c) rejected.

The journal has the right to accept or reject any submissions for publication according to decision by the referees.

If the referees diverge on their decision, the manuscript will be submitted to a third referee for review.

Publication Frequency

The journal is a half-yearly publication whose issues are released in June and December each year.

Open Access Policy

Access to the Revista Estudos de Política is free of charge in view of its democratization of knowledge policy and for the advancement of science.

Accepted Languages

Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Responsibility

The content of all articles published in the Revista Estudos de Política is the full responsibility of their authors.

Submission and Tracking

Article submission and tracking processes will be online, so that the authors must sign up and enter their details on the Revista Estudos de Política webpage.

Monitoring Tool

The tool the Revista Estudos de Política uses to monitor all stages of the editing process is the Open Journal Systems, which is a free software developed by British Columbia University (http://pkp.sfu.ca/ojs/), which aims to customize the management of editorial flows.
